Handmade
in Peru.
The Peruvian
artist uses a sharp hand-made instrument to carve the intricate
pictures onto the gourd. The gourds are all natural and have not
been painted. These gourds are extra finely etched.
The
gourds are all completely covered with scenes of llamas in the
Peruvian Andes. The pictures do not do justice to the fine intricate
details on each gourd.
These
gourds were etched by Teofila.
She was born in the Andes Mountains and now lives in Lima, Peru.
Teofila has a little stand on the
side of the road and is always very happy to see us. We buy many
gourds from her and gladly offer her above average prices.
